Pet collars have come a long way; the term fancy pet collars can be used to name anything from cute dog collars to the technologically advanced GPS dog collar. While many pet tracking systems use GPS they also use cell phones or radio waves to provide better service in a wider variety of areas for greater pet safety.

Using a GPS dog collar is a good way to put your mind at ease, especially if your dog is a good escape artist, or if you live on a large property. It is still a good idea to use a pet id tag or pet microchip too, even if you are using a dog GPS; always better to be safe when it comes to your best friend.
